Confirm the company details first
Use the company’s registered information consistently across SSM documents, bank records and tax applications. HASiL’s e-Daftar guidance identifies company tax-file registration as an online process for companies not yet registered with IRBM.
Prepare the supporting documents
HASiL lists supporting documents for local companies, including registration or incorporation documentation and officer information. Check the live e-Daftar requirements before applying, because a request for additional information can depend on the company’s circumstances.
Apply through MyTax e-Daftar
Choose the correct taxpayer type in e-Daftar and retain the application reference. HASiL publishes application-status and document-submission information on its e-Daftar page. Do not assume that an SSM registration number alone is a tax-file confirmation.
Set up the compliance calendar
Once a tax file is available, establish responsibility for records, tax estimates where applicable, return preparation and payment approvals. HASiL says companies should keep accounting records and supporting documents; good records make later filings more reliable.
Coordinate tax and corporate records
Changes in directors, addresses or company details may need attention in more than one system. Coordinate with a company secretary and an accounting adviser so the corporate and tax records remain aligned.
